An Inlet Boundary is essentially a small urban watershed in which storm and nuisance water is collected then directed to a corresponding Inlet. Each Inlet Boundary contains only one Master Planned Inlet where the water is collected and then directed to the corresponding Ponding Basin through a network of Stormdrains.

This Feature Class participates in the “Drainage” Topology, where it shares common geometry with Drainage Boundaries, Landuse Boundaries and Basins. A Topology is a collection of rules that, when coupled with a set of editing tools, enables GIS to more accurately represent geometric relationships.

The Inletbound Feature Class is stored within a Geodatabase (stores a collection of geographic datasets) which is housed on the Districts GIS server.

In addition to storing the geometric shape of Inlet Boundaries, this Feature Class also stores “Attribute” information related to the planning and maintenance of the Inletbound Feature Class.
