Outfalls reside within Ponding Basins. Basin Outfalls are the terminus facility in which storm water exits the Pipeline and enters the Ponding Basin. Basin Outfalls also provide a controlled release of storm water into the basin so that erosion is kept to a minimum. Each Ponding Basin may have several Outfalls, depending on Basin configuration.
This Feature Class participates in the “Facilities” Topology, where it shares common coordinates with Existing and Future Pipelines. A Topology is a collection of rules that, when coupled with a set of editing tools, enables GIS to more accurately represent geometric relationships.
This Feature Class is stored within a Geodatabase (stores a collection of geographic datasets) which is housed on the Districts GIS server.
In addition to storing the coordinates of Outfalls, this Feature Class also stores “Attribute” information related to the Master Planning and maintenance of the Outfall Feature Class.

",
